SIMULTANEOUS CONFERENCE INTERPRETATION SERVICES

Continental Interpreting provides conference interpretation services that interpret simultaneously, using interpreting equipment, for multilingual meetings and events of all sizes across the United States. Simultaneous Interpreting (SI)—also referred to as simultaneous translation—is a complex skill requiring the interpreter to listen and orally translate at the same time.

Simultaneous interpreting services provided by professional conference interpreters, is very demanding and requires intense concentration. Depending on the complexity of the subject matter and the length of the meeting or event, two interpreters are necessary per language so they can alternate interpreting. This allows the interpreters to maintain quality and avoid fatigue. Conference Interpreters also allocate time to review preparation materials and study subject matter terminology for each meeting or event.
