Certification in Nevada
In Nevada, certification is administered by the Court Interpreting Consortium which is part of the National Center for State Courts. Court certification for Nevada is offered only for Spanish interpreters. Interpreters for other languages are also tested and if they pass an English only proficiency test along with other requirements, they are deemed “Registered Court Interpreters of non-designated languages”. So far, 34 states have joined the Court Interpreting Consortium. Orientation workshops are offered in order to prepare for the Court Interpreting exam. In Nevada, Mr. David O.
